Un portavoz de Hamás corta una entrevista tras ser preguntado sobre el asesinato de civiles

Ghazi Hamad aseguró que los milicianos del movimiento radical palestino no tenían "ninguna orden de matar a cualquier civil".

El portavoz de Hamás, Ghazi Hamad, cortó abruptamente su entrevista concedida al canal británico BBC, luego de ser preguntado sobre cómo el movimiento radical palestino justifica el asesinato de familias israelíes y civiles en general durante sus ataques en el territorio hebreo el pasado 7 de octubre.

Durante la entrevista, Hamad aseguró que "no había ninguna orden de matar a cualquier civil". No obstante, reconoció el fallecimiento de civiles, alegando a que se produjeron debido a que la zona, donde se desarrollaron los combates, es "amplia" y allí vive "mucha gente". "Se produjeron choques y enfrentamientos", dijo.

Cuestionado por el corresponsal del canal británico, Hugo Bachega, de que lo ocurrido no fue una "confrontación", sino "invasión de viviendas", el vocero de Hamás insistió: "Puedo decirle que no tuvimos ninguna intención o decisión de matar a civiles".

"¿Cómo justifica el asesinato de la gente mientras dormía?", preguntó Bachega, y seguido Hamad cortó la entrevista y arrancó el micrófono de su chaqueta, tirándolo al suelo.

Unas 1.400 personas fallecieron y 5.431 resultaron heridas en Israel desde el inicio de las hostilidades, mientras que más de 7.000 murieron y 18.482 fueron heridas en la Franja de Gaza, según la última actualización de la ONU, que cita datos de las autoridades hebreas y palestinas respectivamente.
