El exmandatario de EE.UU. y candidato presidencial republicano, Donald Trump, aseguró este lunes que la Franja de Gaza podría ser "uno de los mejores lugares del mundo", incluso "mejor que Mónaco", pero que el pueblo palestino que vive allí no ha sabido aprovechar la ubicación geográfica del enclave a orillas del mar Mediterráneo.

"Podría ser mejor que Mónaco. Tiene la mejor ubicación de Oriente Medio, las mejores aguas, lo mejor en todo", dijo Trump durante una entrevista con el comentarista político conservador Hugh Hewitt al ser preguntado si Gaza podría rivalizar con Mónaco si fuera "reconstruida de la manera correcta".
