Trump termina "la guerra al deporte femenino" y prohíbe a hombres participar en competiciones de mujeres

El presidente de EE.UU., Donald Trump, ha firmado un decreto que prohíbe a las atletas transgénero* participar en deportes femeninos.

Antes de firmar la orden, Trump aseguró que "la guerra contra el deporte femenino ha terminado".

"Mi istración no se quedará de brazos cruzados viendo cómo hombres golpean y maltratan a atletas femeninas. Y se va a acabar, y se está acabando ahora mismo, y nadie va a poder hacer nada al respecto, porque cuando hablo, hablamos con autoridad", declaró el mandatario.

También anunció que el secretario de Estado, Marco Rubio, le va a dejar en claro al Comité Olímpico que EE.UU. "rechaza categóricamente la locura transgénero". "Queremos que cambien todo lo que tenga que ver con los Juegos Olímpicos", señaló.

Tras esta orden, el mandatario ha cumplido con la promesa anunciada durante su campaña electoral. A finales de diciembre, había afirmado que a Estados Unidos llegará "una revolución del sentido común" cuando se ponga fin a la cultura 'woke'.

Asimismo, en su primer día de mandato, Trump emitió dos órdenes ejecutivas que revocan la protección de los derechos de los transexuales y los programas de diversidad, equidad e inclusión (DEI), establecidos durante la istración de su predecesor Joe Biden.

"Los esfuerzos por erradicar la realidad biológica del sexo atacan fundamentalmente a las mujeres, privándolas de su dignidad, seguridad y bienestar", reza el documento. "Basar la política federal en la verdad es fundamental para la investigación científica, la seguridad pública, la moral y la confianza en el propio Gobierno", concluyó.
