YPO, el club secreto de millonarios que organiza su 'cumbre' en Barcelona

2.700 de sus se reunirán en la capital catalana durante dos días, en un encuentro al que no pueden acudir los medios de comunicación.

La semana que viene Barcelona acogerá un encuentro de la Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), un discreto club de jóvenes millonarios fundado hace 75 años que teje una red de os entre directivos.

El Centro Internacional de Convenciones de Barcelona acogerá del 18 al 20 de febrero su encuentro anual, a puerta cerrada, en el que se prevé que se congreguen 2.700 de los 35.000 que tiene esta comunidad.

Cuatro requisitos

Para pertenecer a esta organización se debe cumplir estrictamente cuatro requisitos: tener menos de 45 años; ser presidente, director ejecutivo o un cargo equivalente de una empresa; facturar más de 15 millones de dólares al año o 300 en el caso de entidades financieras; y tener más de 50 empleados o gastar más de 2,5 millones de dólares anuales en salarios.

De acuerdo a elDiario.es, se calcula que al menos un tercio de sus de YPO han heredado la empresa que dirigen.

La institución fue fundada en 1950 en EE.UU. por Ray Hickok, quien heredó su empresa familiar a los 27 años, y actualmente está implantada en 130 países. En España tiene tres secciones: la de Barcelona, la de Madrid y una tercera que engloba al resto del territorio nacional.
