El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores chino indicó que Pekín "se opone firmemente" a las afirmaciones del secretario de Defensa estadounidense hechas en el mayor foro de defensa de Asia.

Pekín arremetió contra Washington, aconsejándole que "no juegue con fuego" en la cuestión de Taiwán. De este modo respondió a las afirmaciones del secretario de Defensa de Estados Unidos, Pete Hegseth, hechas durante su intervención en el Diálogo de Shangri-La, el mayor foro de defensa de la región, que se celebra en Singapur.

Un portavoz del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de China aseveró que el país asiático "está enérgicamente descontento y se opone firmemente" a las afirmaciones de Hegseth en los que subrayaba la "amenaza" que representa Pekín para el Indo-Pacífico y el mundo.
